Tile Art...

At PCS we are part of a community project.  We have painted 47 Tiles for Hunters Plaza. They are creating a Tile wall of the local schools work. We painted tiles based on what we feel represents our community and our school. Students from Year 2- 6 were selected to take part in this.  Check out our work.  Tile Art on PhotoPeach

Art Day...

We are so lucky at PCS. Some students from Year 3-6 were able to take part in an Art day. We had 6 Year 11 students from Botany Downs Secondary College come to work with us accompanied by Miss Bests Art teacher friend Miss Cunningham. They taught us how to create a Tivaevae mat. Welcome to Term 2

Welcome back to term 2.  I hope you have been practising some art at home.

Have you ever wondered how do you draw a cartoon character well here is some youtube clips to help you.  Grab a pen and piece of paper.  Are you ready?

Term 1: Year 5 and 6 Art Group

This term some of our keen Year 5 and 6 Art students have been working hard throughout the term creating some masterpieces as part of the art option group.

We created this art work using texture paste which is like a very thick sticky paint.  We applied this thickly then used some tools to create patterns.  Once this had dried then we mixed the prime colours (red, green, blue) and painted over the top.  To make it look super glossy Miss Best sprayed these with a gloss spray.

Holiday Fun...

Here are some fun art ideas to try in the holidays.  Your fingers and hands are just as good as a paintbrush.  Use them to create some masterpieces using paint.  Check out the video for ideas.
